Florida PTA Convention Scholarship

DCCPTA is offering a need-based scholarship for one local unit to send 2 Board members to Florida PTA Leadership/Convention at Innisbrook in July.

Here is the Link Florida PTA Convention Scholarship App 2016

Florida PTA provides excellent training on how to run productive, dynamic and efficient PTAs that serve students, parents and teachers.
Training classes include:
Presidents and Treasurers (does NOT fulfill DCCPTA’s own REQUIRED P & T training)
other Exec Board Positions training
Advocacy and Legislation
Programs
Membership
How to get (more) Men Involved in PTA
Effective Communications: Newsletters, Websites & Social Media
Reflections
Family and Community Engagement
Health & Wellness
…and more!
Here’s how one recent Duval County PTA president describes her first trip to Innisbrook:
“I had the pleasure of attending the state conference with my vice-president and treasurer (in 2013), and found the experience to be invaluable. Not only did we as a board get to know each other better, we also had a better idea of how to do our jobs with excellence. We went home full of excitement and ideas for the new year. I would recommend every local unit set aside funds to enable at least a few people to go – the investment is well worth it.”

President

Remember, training is an INVESTMENT in the future leadership of your PTA and is a legitimate PTA Expense.
APPLICATION – COMING SOON!
The application must be received by June 10, 2016.
