2022- 2023 Scholarship Fund Needs a Funding Boost!

For well over a decade, the Duval County Council of PTAs has provided graduating high school seniors $500 nonrenewable scholarships to help offset the cost of their post-secondary educational pursuits.  These scholarships are funded primarily from donations made by local units.  Because of these generous gifts, DCCPTA has awarded an estimated $30,000.00 in scholarships to students representing schools throughout the district.

During the 2021 – 2022 academic year, five (5) deserving students benefited from this program.  We hope to exceed the number of scholarships awarded this year.  However, to do so, we need your help.  Local Units please consider adding a line-item to your budget or increasing your contributions to the scholarship fund.  Individual members, businesses, community leaders, etc. may also donate.

On behalf of every potential DCCPTA scholar, thank you in advance for your generosity!

Eligible seniors must:

  • have their own student membership with a local unit in good standing or through the Sunshine State PTA;
  • be a 2023 graduating senior;
  • have an applicable GPA based on their scholarship category requirements;
  • complete and submit an online application; and
  • enroll as a full-time undergraduate student at an accredited post-secondary institution by fall 2023

The online application and related documents will be available on our DCCPTA website no later than January 2023.  Please visit the scholarship webpage, https://www.dccpta.org/programs/scholarships-grants/ for scholarship events, information, and updates.  We look forward to increasing the number of available scholarships we can award to the outstanding Duval County graduating class of 2023!
